Any reasonably recent iPad or Android tablet — one per till. Nothing to install: you just open your Funky EPOS web address and add it to the home screen. A phone works in a pinch.
You need a connection for printing, kitchen screens and syncing. Taking sales keeps working fully offline if the signal drops — they queue on the device and sync when you're back. Small trader? A phone hotspot is enough. Multi-till on a big site? A 4G/Starlink router.
Optional but recommended: a Star receipt printer and a cash drawer that kicks open on cash sales. Take cards on your own SumUp/Zettle reader. No printer yet? Digital receipts work from day one.
Any spare tablet or monitor becomes your kitchen display, or send tickets to a second printer in the kitchen. Add it on Pro when you're ready — not before.
