This policy explains what personal data Funky EPOS ("we", "us") collects, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Funky EPOS is point-of-sale software for festival, market and street-food traders. For any data question, contact hello@funkyepos.uk.
Lawful bases: performance of a contract, your consent (for enquiries), and our legitimate interest in running and securing the service.
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the service — hosting, our payment processor (if you subscribe to Pro), and Google (Tag Manager and Analytics, for anonymised, aggregated site-usage statistics) — and where required by law. Each trader's data is isolated from every other trader.
Data is stored on secured UK/EU-region servers and backed up off-site daily. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as we'd want ours treated.
We keep account and trading data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal/accounting obligations. You can export your data to CSV at any time and request deletion when you close your account.
You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or erase your personal data, and to object to processing. Email hello@funkyepos.uk and we'll action it. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
This marketing site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it (pages viewed, device type, approximate location). These set first- and third-party cookies. We do not use them for advertising and we never sell your data. You can block cookies in your browser, or use a "Do Not Track" / global privacy control, and the site will still work. The product itself uses only essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and to enable offline trading.
We'll update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
