No. Never. Funky EPOS charges a flat £5 or £10 a month (plus VAT, with the first month free) and takes nothing from your takings. You bring your own SumUp or Zettle reader for card payments and keep everything the reader doesn't charge.
Any SumUp or Zettle reader you already own. In Funky EPOS you tap "card" as the tender type and take payment on your reader as normal — it's logged against the sale. Full in-app reader integration is on the roadmap.
Yes — just ask. We've negotiated great card-processing rates through our event-trade connections and can set you up with them. The Funky EPOS software still never takes a penny of your sales; this is simply us helping you pay less to your card provider too. Email hello@funkyepos.uk.
Yes. Plans are month-to-month or annual — your first month is free, and you can cancel anytime. Your data stays yours and you can export everything to CSV at any time.
Email support from people who run the same till in the same fields, with a 48-hour response target (usually much faster). It's a self-serve product by design — that's how we keep it £5–£10, not £80.
Yes. On the cloud tiers (Standard/Pro) sales queue locally and sync automatically when you're back online — a dropped signal never loses a sale. For a pitch with no internet at all, that's the Custom on-site tier (our appliance or your own machine) which runs fully offline.
Each trader is fully isolated, backed up off-site daily, and you can export everything to CSV whenever you like. No lock-in.
